Hi, I’m Jack, a sound designer for video games! I'm originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, but I'm now living in Leeds, where I'm working as a Junior Sound Designer at Formosa Interactive UK.
I'm excited about both the creative and technical sides of sound design. I love finding creative solutions to complex implementation problems, and designing high-level audio systems.

HOMESTEAD
GAME AUDIO DEMO LEVEL
Homestead is a short demo game I made myself in Unreal Engine 4 using assets from the Unreal Marketplace, with audio implementation in FMOD Studio. Inspiration was taken from games like The Long Dark and Firewatch, and it was developed to showcase various implementation techniques, including foliage interaction audio, a dynamic weather audio system, a physics-audio system, and a rudimentary voice management system. SOUL CITY
GAME AUDIO DEMO LEVEL
Using a map from the Unreal Engine Marketplace, I was able to showcase my sound design and implementation skills within the Unreal Engine. Inspiration was taken from games such as CyberPunk 2077, and Deus Ex in order to achieve a futuristic-apocalypse theme. Using blueprints and sound cues I was able to demonstrate technical and creative skills through sound design.
INTERACTIVE MUSIC SYSTEM
WWISE ANNOTATED DEMONSTRATION
As part of my Wwise learnings, I decided to implement a dynamic music system into Wwise, showcasing an exploration, stealth and combat loop, complete with stingers and modulation on RTPCs.
